The Great Metal Beast

A Poem

A cacophony of unnatural and natural,

Crashing waves and screams collide,

Groans of protest of a great ship,

Despair of those who nature denied.

Nature spoke in thundering destruction,

The great metal beast replied with a screech,

The sea seeking to swallow that of which shouldn't be,

A lesson that nature seeks to teach.

Yet those aboard the great ship only feel fear,

Nature will not desist,

They know this and they weep,

Yet the great metal beast still seeks to resist.

The great ship gives one last wail,

A thundering scream of the great metal beast seeking to resist,

Yet nature knows it has won,

Nature will never desist.
