She hates everything,
all the talking,
lying,
and masking.
She hates it all so much,
she could watch the world
burn⸺
ashes for tears.
She pushes down her hatred,
swallows her disgust,
blinks
back her tears.
She despises the hypocrisy and hides
it inside where
it bubbles beneath her skin
like boils.
She hates the euthanizing emptiness
in the unrelenting crowds, the
nothingness in a space
teeming with life.
She hates everything.
The slow and silent march
to the edge of the cliff
where hope plummets.
But, above all she hates
that she is one with
this awful, disgusting
machine.
