Stood alone in the rain
Her tears mixing with the drops
As she felt all the pain
Her heart was broken
Her spirit torn
She stood there waiting
For a love to be reborn
But the storm raged on
And the lightning lit the sky

Wondered why she couldn't fly
But she held on to hope
And believed in the power of love
And as the rain slowed to a stop
She looked up to the heavens above
And saw a rainbow
A promise of a brighter tomorrow
The girl with the blue eye
Smiled through the sorrow
For she knew that love would come
And her heart would be whole
The girl with the blue eye
Would finally have a home
