The Girl with Kaleidoscope Eyes

Mood Ring Eyes

Tears have stained her irises

Intermittently

Blue

Like a summer sky

Through open windows

Or sapphires

In the blinding sun

But the melancholy shapes

That lilacs made

Crowd violet across

The cloud-torn sky

Even what she's seen

Makes colours

Vibrant sunbursts

Of orange and yellow

Make smallest appearances

Specks of brown

And gold

Like a feathered wren

Might linger there

Before taking flight once more

Traces of words

Still remain

And sometimes

Long-since remedied

Bouts of envy

Tinge green

Like open meadows

Thunderheads

And lightning streaks

Paint grey

With the briefest

Silver flashes

Memory of electric love

Not soon forgotten

Her mood ring eyes

Of many colours

Are a kaleidoscope

A spinning top

A mandala

A dreamcatcher

A circle cast

For divination

Hidden memories

And forgotten words

Crowd here

To display themselves

In an exotic dance

Indecipherable

Incomplete

Dancing in eternity

Trying to solve the riddle

Trying to figure themselves out

About the Creator

A. R. Ambrosi

I like to write, if that makes me a writer, then rock on!

I started writing as a child because I ran out of stuff to read. So, I only write stuff that I like. If you like it too, awesome! Enjoy! ^_^
