‘Like a shivering cold turkey’ is what they,

The consequences I must pay,

There is too much pain, too overwhelming!

The solution is in my pocket waiting,

My heart races in anticipation,

As the needle pierces the vein in slow precision,

Be still my heart;

As the magic will soon start.

I must have taken a little excess,

As the gratification is immediate and immense,

I can only let out a pleasurable moan,

Lying on my bed all alone.

My limbs grow heavier,

My mind becomes lighter,

I feel like I'm soaring in flight,

As high above as a kite.

I do not need anything.

No food, no water, no air.

My magic drug is everything.

My body tingles and I suddenly shudder.

I feel detached, I feel free.

I twirl in the air and peer down to see

A face so calm and so serene

Looking a lot like how mine had been...

An interesting way to learn Pharmacology!
