The Giant Who Touched the Moon
The stars his torch the moon now his home

The Giant Who Touched the Moon
There once was a giant, broad and strong,
Who towered high as trees grew long.
But with each year, he stretched anew,
Until the ground was far below.
His head rose past the mountain peaks,
Above the clouds, where cold winds speak.
Birds grew small, the stars grew near,
Yet loneliness was all he’d hear.
The towns below became so small,
Their voices dim, their footsteps lost.
No hand to hold, no friend to call,
Just endless sky and biting chill.
One night, he reached with longing hands,
To brush the silver lunar sands.
And there the moon, so soft, so bright,
Said, “Stay with me and share my light.”
So now he stands, both man and lore,
A shadow tall on midnight’s shore.
A giant lost to those below,
Yet shining where the dreamers go.
