The Generous Gift

We despise life’s generous gift

Smack them around and laugh

They can’t make the pain go away

We smile as we look into their eyes

Our mind craves crime

Time is the easiest to sacrifice

We starve them to death

But expect they’ll forever serve as slave

As our time vanishes

Life learns to cry

Whispering for help

Begging for our attention

But we continue to smile

Our spirit’s from life

And our time is life’s brain being squandered

When we ask them for more stamina

Life will cry us demons instead
