The Future

A poem about the future and who can see it

The future is seen

with an intuition

of a whispering

heart.

The future is

a moment

a psychic

can emanate

through

tarot cards

tea leaves

a Greek or Turkish

coffee cup

gazing into a picture

of haunting wonder.

The future is

a gift

a sight

a feeling

no one

can explain.

It shifts through

the mind

easy to find.

The future

can be seen

in a writer's words

wonderous

and unknown.

Nothing can explain

how a writer

can envision

something so vain.

The future

is clear

to a person

in pain.

The poorness

of a body

so worn

so torn

as the soul

vanishes through time.

The future

is clear

a vision

of sight

no other

can see.

It harrows

the mind.

A worthy picture

erupts

whether

it's happy

or not.
