As days became weeks,
And weeks became months,
I grew to envy,
The only brother I had,
At first I saw him,
Almost as important as Father,
I gradually realized,
He could do everything,
Better than me.
Every time I tried to impress Father,
My brother outshined me.
I always ask myself,
Why couldn’t I,
Have been reanimated,
Before my brother?
I can barely remember,
When or how I died.
Every time I saw him,
My two conflicting feelings,
Threatened to tear me apart,
I kept asking myself,
How can you love someone you envy?
I could not answer.
I had to move on.
