The Forgotten Path
A Poem of Longing and Rediscovery
Moss creeps silent, on a path overgrown,
Where footsteps once fell, now forever unknown.
Whispering leaves, secrets they keep,
Of journeys forgotten, and dreams buried deep.
Sunlight struggles, through branches that weave,
A tangled canopy, sunlight can't receive.
But wait, a glimmer, a spiderweb's sheen,
A single wildflower, a vibrant green scene.
The path, though obscured, beckons anew,
A chance for adventure, a fresh point of view.
With hesitant steps, the journey starts,
Unveiling the beauty, hidden in parts.
For even lost paths, can lead us astray,
To hidden treasures, of another day.
So venture forth, with heart light and free,
And rediscover the path, meant to just be.
