One who forgot himself, lost in thought,
Drifting aimlessly, his mind distraught.
He wandered long, without a care,
His heart heavy, burdened with despair.
He forgot his name, his past, his place,
No memory left, no trace, no face.
All he knew was this endless strife,
This never-ending struggle for life.
He walked alone, through fields and streams,
Lost in thought, lost in his dreams.
He saw the world, with new-found eyes,
And felt the pain, of all mankind's cries.
But then one day, a light appeared,
A glimmer of hope, his spirit cheered.
He found his way, back to himself,
And left behind, his lonely shelf.
He learned to live, and love, and be,
And found true joy, and harmony.
He knew that he was not alone,
For in his heart, his true self shone.
