Grass…

This right here is a field

Full of grass, dark green, it yields:

To those who step on it

And those who come running

To prune its tips as they keel

It’s been freshly watered for days

By human forces and rain

They give it nutrition

So signs of contrition

Won’t leave a speck or trace

There are no trees for miles

Or bushes for quite a while

Flat as a table

Not round like a cable

No hills, just even tiles

Nevertheless, people still visit

They come and go for various purposes

Plants and animals also thrive

And many manage to survive.
