The Failing Body

in that moment when we acknowledge that which we have realized for some time, we find,

dreams are disappearing,

hope is fading like the setting sun.

we have endured the day, we made another sunset,

will we witness the next sunrise?

the body knows,

the mind denies,

we see it with failing eyes.

functionality has stopped functioning,

quality has escaped the abundant quantity,

we contemplate the “what if’s”,

foresaking the “for sure’s” along our journey,

time continues,

leaving those behind who can’t maintain,

strain to understand your current state of being,

evaluate your expectations,

be certain of choices,

be strong in your weakness,

being wise with wisdom stimulates the conviction of determination.

high winds today have blown the dust off of the goofy mind, so here it is, hot off the brain,
