The Eyes That Remember

They see feel and never forget

The Eyes That Remember

I found you staring through the page,
With eyes that seemed to know my name.
A silent face from somewhere else,
Yet somehow nothing felt the same.

You wore no crown, you spoke no word,
Yet ancient wisdom filled your gaze.
As though you’d watched the world begin,
And wandered through forgotten days.

Your eyes held shadows, not of fear,
But memories I could not see.
A thousand stories locked inside,
That somehow felt connected to me.

Was you a spirit, lost in time?
A keeper of what once had been?
A soul that crossed the veil between,
The world we know and worlds unseen?

The lines around your face looked worn,
But not from years that humans count.
They looked like journeys taken far,
Through every doorway, every doubt.

I wondered if you came to warn,
Or simply came to make me see.
That some things never need a voice,
For silence speaks mysteriously.

And when I looked away from you,
Your eyes remained within my mind.
As though you knew a secret truth,
That mortal eyes are slow to find.

So who are you, this watching face,
This stranger from the other side?
Perhaps a spirit, perhaps a dream,
Or something ancient still alive.
