The End

a dark sensory poem

The End

I could always look past your mask, see who you really were

I spoke the truth of what you did; the words sat bitter on my tongue

The scent of guilt seeps out in your final, pathetic gasps

A tangible evil I can reach out and touch, my hand across your face

As I hear your last breath, I sense evil leave this world
