The guitar had been both his refuge and his tormentor.Later that night, Jake returned to the attic. He ran his fingers over the worn wood and whispered, “Thank you.” Then he closed the case and left it there, feeling a mix of relief and sadness.

Some stories, he realized, were meant to stay in the past. But the music of his grandfather’s life would always echo in his heart, guiding him when the world felt too heavy. No matter where he went, that melody would remain, a timeless companion.
