It wasn’t an eloquent ball gown.
It wasn’t a conventional smock.
It wasn’t the smooth, velvety texture of satin.
It wasn’t coarse like the embroideries on lace.
It wasn’t as bright as the stars in the night sky.
It wasn’t as dark as the moon behind them.
It wasn’t any of these things.
It was screaming for attention from the moment I walked in.
It was the color of Lapis under the sunlight.
It was jeweled and dazzled in the mirror.
It was elegant yet gentle, like the first wave of the ocean in Summer
It was flowing along my body effortlessly.
It was all of these things.
It was just for me.
