The Dragon's Mile

Inside My head

Green Dragon (Mixed Media, W.B. Gravil 2021)

The Dragon mile is the endless Solitude of the life I lead.

I lean into the wind as I steadily traverse this Road.

Though surrounded by many I find that I am constantly alone.

Not here or there for long I wait for nothing but am already gone.

Not once coming to rest for rest it’s not my nature.

The Dragon's Mile is the unending Despair that I feel

I can Touch Nothing or no one and leave a lasting impression

How can all this be, you cannot know the Sorrow or torment I feel

Putting aside my ambition and pinning my hopes on a tragedy

I lean in to the wind and keep my course as I go...

Down the dragon's mile
