The doors

Behind the doors, within our minds,

Thoughts so different, in each we find,

We try to make, of this world some sense,

Which can be so, troublesome and intense,

We close the doors, and hide inside,

Where it’s safe, and we can reside,

But what you’ll find, is there’s no escape,

And hiding you’ll, only escalate,

For fear will feed, on solitude,

And you have to change, your attitude,

For when you open your doors, and venture out,

You’ll find the world, and what it’s all about,

You’ll see yourself, that most people are kind,

And face the same, battle of the mind,

Around the world, doors will open,

And life will start, to feel less broken,

The world is not, such a scary place,

And kindness comes, from every single race,

Once you realise, that you’re in control,

Of the doors to freedom, deep in your soul,

You’ll understand, you have a part to play,

In all of us having, such better days,

If only you, can unlock your door,

You’ll see a future, with so much more,

You are the one, that holds the key,

So open your doors, and set yourself free.
