The devil could not tempt me No

The devil seized my hand,

his voice a hiss of spite.

He tried to drag me through the dark,

to tear me from the light.

“No,” I said, and struck him back,

with holy water, pure and bright.

It killed his lies, it split the dark,

it blinded him with light.

He shrieked and clawed, he cursed the skies,

he tried to make me fall.

however, he could not control my soul,

for Jesus owns it all.

A fire shines within my chest,

no evil can consume.

Though shadows rise and demons press,

my Saviour sees me through 🙏💫
