A plate of woven glass,
Where liquid shadows softly pass,
A comet fell from starry skies,
Reborn as chocolate haupia pie.
The crust was carved from obsidian night,
Yet glowing with an inner light,
A foundation built of dreams deferred,
Now singing out a silent word.
Above it rolled a midnight sea,
Of velvet, deep infinity,
Where cocoa rivers softly gleam
Beneath the silver of a dream.
And resting on this velvet tide,
Where secrets of the moon abide,
The haupia drifted, pure and white—
A cloud of coconut and light.
It hovered softly, defying space,
A levitating, sweet embrace,
As if the dessert dared to rise
And join the kingdom of the skies.
No heavy weight of grief or thorn,
Just sweetness on a quiet morn.
A slice of hope, distilled and true,
Where earth and heaven melt anew.
