The jade and glass plateau,
Where violet moons begin to glow,
The stalks of crystal rhubarb wake,
Drinking the light of a liquid lake.
And azure globes of velvet dew
Are ripening from an impossible blue—
Plucked from the vines of an ether-dream,
Floating downstream in a porcelain stream.
The wind hums tunes in a minor key,
Stirring the sleep of the pastry-sea,
Where crusts unfold like lotus wings,
And time forgets all earthly things.
We fold the dawn into the bowl,
To sweeten the edge of a jagged soul,
And bake the night in an oven of stars,
Healing the dark with amber scars.
A hopeful steam begins to rise,
Painting the edge of the velvet skies
In shades of magenta and apricot,
Brimming with all that the heart forgot.
And when we taste the celestial slice,
The bitter melts into paradise—
For even the shadows, heavy and deep,
Are baked into peace while the planets sleep.
