The Desert's Steed

A Song of Sand and Starlight

By mahmoud elsaadPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

With eyes like embers in the sun's embrace,

The camel strides, a king of this hot space.

His coat, a canvas tanned by desert winds,

Holds stories whispered where silence begins.

His hump, a treasure chest of life's reserve,

Awaits the oasis, a thirst to observe.

His calloused feet, on sun-baked earth they tread,

Leaving no mark where dreams of water are led.

He kneels with a sigh, a weathered friend,

As burdens he carries, till journeys end.

No whinny or neigh, just a mournful song,

A desert serenade, where shadows belong.

He walks with the moon, a silent, stoic guide,

A ship on the sand, with the stars by his side.

The desert's own steed, a nomad's delight,

The camel, he walks, through endless, shimmering night.
