It's more than what is on the surface.

Black,

As deep as the moon’s horizons

Black,

As deep as the depths of my nurture

Black,

The kiss of melanin that is blessed upon my gentle skin

A kiss of sweetness

A kiss of passion

Black,

The skin of those in which it is envied by most

Yet; mostly imitated by those who want to be us

Those who can’t touch the superiority that is tainted within our skin

Black,

Just like the sweetness of his nectar that pours out of his mouth

and into his words

Black,

Like the golden crown in which sits on the top of a melanated queen

Black,

The type that makes a mf blood boil because it's something so worthy of it that can no be explained

That type of black in which can not be duplicated or imitated

That type of black in which only a black woman or a black man can understand

Black,

The color that makes you think of royalty

Black,

Like no other
