The day my faith was shaken

It all disappeared in a heartbeat

The day my faith was shaken

As I close my eyes, I picture the moment

The moment the world turned black

My world

The love that I once knew oh so well

The cold icy hands of mortality struck

The was the day my love for a power beyond me disappeared

So many questions, no answers

So many regrets, no time machine to take me back

The pain runs deep and I can't look back

The scars are so final, will they ever blend?

So, I can forget and move on

Live freely

Love freely again

This was the day that everything I thought I believed just vanished

I blinked and it was all gone

Gone

Stolen like a thief in the night

Gone

I feel so empty now
