The Dawn

The Painter's Dawn

The sky, a canvas, dark and deep,

Where silent, waiting stars still sleep.

A whisper soft, a thread of grey,

To hint the coming of the day.

Then streaks of lavender and rose,

A gentle blush that softly grows.

The sun, a painter, takes its time,

To craft a masterpiece sublime.

The birds awaken, start their tune,

Beneath the slowly fading moon.

The world awakes in golden light,

And bids a soft farewell to night.
