The Darkness Inside

Someone understands, right?

I do not own this picture.

DESPAIR, SORROW.

Lying in bed.

Darkness envelops

All things gone

Head exploding

Nothing and Everything

Wandering in this organ

Congested with dark thoughts

Wondering is it worth it

Knowing you have to

Nobody has ever done it

Not in this family

Setting an example is all it is

If she doesn’t think she can

Who will?

Her cousin? Baby sister?

Niece?

No one understands

Darkness envelops

Nothing can be heard

All this work, all these thoughts

Working hard, never accomplishing

Head under the blanket,

The night sky

During a new moon

Lungs trying their hardest

Maybe it is worth it

No more.

DESPAIR

SORROW

DARKNESS

This feeling of not being enough, is enough

Just quit, no one cares anyway

It’s not like they tell her

Is it enough to even do it?

They don’t care

Why should you?

GLOOM

MISERY

DEJECTION

Not worth it

This plague, this poison

It’s ruining everything for her

This infernal hole

Black abyss, pulling

Sucking her in deeper

Can’t she just do what she wants?

Cancel the thoughts, she has to

For her cousin,

Baby sister,

Beloved niece.

They need it

They will always need it

It lingers, those thoughts

They wait around for one weakness

One weak thought…

Moment.

In her life

It matters

They need it

It’s all for them

Or…

For herself.
