The Dancing Fire Extinguishers

Ready to come on

It could happen at any stage 

They were standing there ready to put on a performance 

It might become all the rage

Who knows in this age

I was not phased

Just sitting there wondering what they would do

Looking at the equipment next to the platform 

Could see they were prepared 

So I just sat there and stared

I guess it was because they cared

Always on the ready in case something flared

Rather than say it they are more likely to spray it

Always ready to put on a display 

Not worried about the next day 

Or caring too much about the pay

Concentrating on keeping the flames at bay

Come what may 

Allowing us all to enjoy the play

Up there and moving about it was the dancing fire extinguishers
