The Dance of Light and Shadow

The Silent Rhythm of Opposites

By Amber SwiftPublished 12 months ago 1 min read
A Poem by Amber Rose - 2025

Between soft glow and evening’s quiet shade,

Love walks a path where both must intertwine;

No joy is full if sorrow dares evade;

Nor grief is complete when hope refuses to shine.

Imagination, flickering and bright,

Can pierce the caverns where our fears often reside

And memory, though shadowed by the night,

Keeps warm the moments that have softly died.

The heart must hold both darkness and the day;

To see in contrast, harmony’s true form;

For light alone would burn itself away;

And the endless night would leave the soul forlorn.

Let them converge, these forces, fierce yet kind,

A deeper truth than either could unwind.
