Sperm to egg,

A zygote forms.

Zygote to embryo,

Ultrasound performed.

Woman to doctor,

"I'm not ready to be a mother."

Law to doctor,

"She will or you'll both suffer."

Embryo to fetus,

She's running out of time.

Five months to six,

Her life's on the line.

Body to fetus,

Thinks it's a foreign intrusion.

Her life's in danger,

But the law won't excuse it.

Fetus to baby,

He takes his first breaths.

Woman to darkness,

His mother's now dead.

Baby to toddler,

He's a foster care kid.

Toddler to child,

He's been beaten again.

Child to teenager,

Nowhere to call home.

Teenager to needle,

Heroin now his home.

Adult to prison,

Several felony arrests.

Prison to probation,

He's hooked on dope again.

Sperm to egg,

His girlfriend is pregnant.

Zygote to embryo,

The cycle once more begins.

Women to lawmakers,

This is a cautionary tale.

Women to senators,

Justice will prevail.

Women to Court justices,

We won't stop until there's peace.

Women to Republicans,

We won't stop until you cease.

Women to the USA,

Welcome to the fight.

Women to the enemy,

We will not let you take our rights.
