The Cut

Something caught my eye

A subtle glint in passing

Or wishful thinking

Stretching out the days

Lengthening long, lonely nights

From potent yearning

That song was on point

Reverberating my soul

As it was so shall it be

What will be it is

A new perspective, the mind

A new life, the hand

Still, I find I am

Spellbound, tied up and twisted

Have I chosen this

Resignation or

Rugged determination

One must choose a path
