The tears you wept that nightthey stain my handslike scars, like scars.
I feel them there(Awake, Asleep)my ghost of my dreams
In every heartbeatI feel the rushthe inertiathe freedomAdrenalineI feel your thoughtsthe vibration of the enginethe strength it took to hold it til it screamedI wish I was you
(your name is written on my hands in burns)
the dozen daises I placed beneath your nameI stroke the date in which you thought your life beganIt is where my ended. You knew that night. The night the orange glow consumed the stars.
"Dangerous Road"You needed to lose sight of me,of usof the lipstick that wasn't your colorthe bruises in which I left around your neck. Scratches down my arms
The trees were dark witnessThey knewYou knew. This was better.
The curve had the answers. You gripped the wheel harder as warning signs blurred past
"20 MPH""Sharp Curve"
You could taste it.I taste it. The satisfaction. The relief. Peace, you thought. Peace. Everything was right nowBruises fadedLies rewound
You were back at the beginning,Without me,no us.
It could be seen for milesthe explosion of my mistakesin its horrible light.
