The curse of repetition

History, they call it.

Change your voice,

To break the noise,

Enacted without poise,

Watching what it destroys,

Crafty you, the games you play,

Name-calling to cause disarray,

Hoping that yet we should pray,

For success for your prey,

Mindful set on gimmicks and lies,

Have you any fear for the greatness that resides,

For the sacredness that ties,

The culture that flies,

The scream that cries,

Beneath the eyes,

For freedom fighting,

Path dividing,

Purpose aligning,

Though people are backbiting,

Traitors uniting,

Plans inciting,

With choking forgiveness in place,

Programs being debased,

Rehabilitation defaced,

Shouldn't you cooperate?

For a greater situation of the state,

Shouldn't you be loving?

For belief instead of bluffing,

Shouldn't you assist with what you can?

Yet we only hope things go to plan.
