The Curse I Birthed

is the curse i live

By Write RipplePublished about a year ago • 1 min read

Come,

dwell within my mind

for a day,

and

watch the demons

howl their lungs out.

Now and then,

screaming my futility.

I try to obstruct my ears

from these venomous melodies

yet fail miserably

every time.

I have come to realize,

feeling insanely deep is a curse,

a malevolent force possessing colossal claws

that clutch my happiness and tear it apart.

I have birthed this curse on my own,

and now

I live with it

and die with it

every day.

perhaps I am just going mad again.
