A heart that trembles, with fear's cold grip
A soul that cowers, with a timid lip
A spirit that shrinks, from the light of day
A coward's refuge, in a hiding way
The brave may mock, with a scornful eye
But the coward knows, his reason why
He fears the unknown, the pain and the strife
And so he hides, in a coward's life
He misses out, on the joys of the fight
The thrill of victory, the glory in sight
He settles for less, for a life half-lived
But still he dreams, of a courage true
A heart that's brave, a spirit anew.
