The Corruption of Magma

And sticky thoughts

I am ooey gooey in the middle with magmatic thoughts of you.

This is no great, grand love but an obsessive hunger for war

Because at the core of this dying star about to go supernova

Is something that looks like a dream, like the promise of a fight.

.

My thoughts are caramelized, halfway to ash, and fragrant.

They drip over the sides of my mind and run dirty hands

Through my hair, making everything sticky like the trap

Securing my feet to the arena floor that drank your blood.

.

Is there any blood to drink inside those cosmic veins?

Or did you forget to incorporate that quirk into your body?

I will drink up every last silver lie from your lips, all but one.

I will never believe there is not a god shoved into your bones.

.

Mythology glows in your bone structure and it haunts your skin.

To look into your eyes is to watch the cold and vivid stars in the dark.

And then there is the creatures inside, the oozing gooey thing

That drips honey in each footstep, that keeps you here in the dream.

.

You and I are monsters in this place, teeth bared, willing to fight.

Put me in your chest of treasures, why don't you, and let me scream.

There is a mystery glowing inside your blood and I cannot rest

Until I've drunk your well dry and ingested every last bit of stardust.
