The Comfy Challenge

A Poem

By Louise Blake-Michael (Risen Phoenix)Published 2 years ago 1 min read

A comfy day or so it would seem.

Take off these clothes as I wait.

For something to come my way.

Today is my day off you know.

Might as well order in to be lazy you see.

As my birthday soon approaches, the laziness increases.

A year later, a year older, another year wiser.

I don't make the same mistakes twice.

Is that pizza hut on speed dial?

I order double of everything, lonely as it maybe, I stew in another year of misery.

Sadness, another year older, another year of making new mistakes.

As I slip on my pjs, the joy of warm silky soft cotton a joy of comfort turning on the TV, just enjoy the comfort. The waiting the joy of comfy dazzling feelings.
