The Colors of My Mood Ring

The world and its daily hues.

By Nicole CastroPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Worn like an accessory; in fine-tune with the tenderness of the day

I'm guilty of thinking of my pencil like a mood ring

I allow for red to speak discovery over my heart

And trigger shades of orange that trickle fresh ideas down my spine

I recognize these shades of yellow; so inclined to remember that the sun is blinding but it's brightness is inevitable

On some nights,

Blue-ish hues bring home more questions than I know the answer to

But as long as there are seeds to plant I'll always bare the fruit

And most of all,

I embrace the white that forms a blank canvas in my mind that leaves no color left unheard

Because when I write,

I seek for you and I

All the colors of the world
