The Color Palette of Love

And Sorrow

By Anthony DahmPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

She was probably more than a fucking beauty

but for the sake of some bullshit for now

she was just that.

& with meeting such a darling

come the waves of a deep indigo

& there I go swimming in a lake of some cool mystery that I was never set to uncover,

that I was bound to fall in love with,

that was bound to kill me in more than the only way I know.

Oh but when we together

in the freezing cold,

I found hell

& I loved it.

She was probably more than I can muster up in my imagination

(maybe less)

but I'll never know.

She died in the dark in a pool of room temperature courage.

Thank Goodness.
