The Color of Free

The Color of Me

By CheriPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Tic Toc

Tic Toc

the face fell off the clock

I’m standing in time

at the station of nine

and waiting

on the dock

It is

forever

or some variation thereof

The time

is now

and

Forever

Is

Love

If I were a color

no more left to do

I’m sure

I would be

the color of you

The color of you

in your embrace

The color of you

as it shines in your face

The red in our hearts

~ the one beating in two

My blood running through

to the color of you

Some called me

Yellow

&

Purple

too

~ singing their songs

full well knowing who

But, really I believe

if I’m just being true

in the void of the night

I’m the color of you ~

and the color of Blue

Peering from space

alive just to see

the human race

looking back at me

Their faces turn down

with eyes to the ground

Will they clearly see

and hear the sound?

They don’t know I’m here

the waves, though they swell

Hearts suspended in Heaven

Souls transcended from hell

The words are translucent

sparkling over the Sea

As the Sun again

Rises

To the color of free

The diamond, it grows

inside of me

Dancing alight

on the color of free

The color of truth

refracted through

is the color I’ll be

Indefinable hue

I'm the color

of free

Be the color of you
