Poem about a color that makes me unique.
The color green as beautiful as an Emerald, the color green is as precious as my eyes , the color green is as glaring as my hair, the color green can be as dark as my anger, the color green is as bright as my happiness, the color green is as tough as my personality, the color green as shatter proof as my heart, the color green is as shiny as my skin is, the color green is as curved and edged as i am the color green is as pure as the soul inside of me and the color green is just as unique as me.

"I Wonder"
Some days I wake and I wonder is today the day, is today the day I stand at the end of time, is the earth going to rattle into a million pieces, are the oceans going to wither beneath, is the time going to just freeze, are memories just going to vanish, are fields going to ignite into thin air, are flying insects and birds just going to fall to the ground. Some nights I try to fall asleep and I have a million thoughts as if the sun never rises again, the clouds just hover into the sky, as if the stars are never going to scintillate anymore, as if the moon goes down and thats the end of time. What if it was and all of this was just gone?

One Minute to Noon
“OK, guys!” I screech over the macaw-like chatter in my sophomore English class. My students are sharing mementos they accumulated during summer vacation. The assignment is to interview each other and write an expository essay about another student’s treasure: Misty’s coquina shells and sand dollars from Florida, Ruth’s two Navajo pottery mugs from New Mexico, Roxy’s perfume from Paris, Kevin’s chocolate from Hershey Pennsylvania, a picador’s sword from a bullfight in San Fermin Spain, where one of my favorite students, Manny Pérez, ran with the bulls at festival.
