The Coffee Machine
My solo morning nemesis
The coffee machine intimidates me
My brain is foggy
Need coffee now, please
But the machine is cocky
It knows my need for that dark liquid
I press every button
Hoping to be gifted
Wishing I could summon
A male someone
To satisfy my needs
If he makes coffee, my gratitude won
One sip to continue my day with ease

For this poem I chose a romance stanza, a six line stanza with a aabaabrhyme scheme. The 3rd and 6th line have three accents while the rest have four.
