The Climax of Fire

the sparking of need

By A. S. LawrencePublished 10 months ago • 1 min read

The last flame sows the first flame.

Any attempt to end

carries a beginning

within its conception.

The energy of the last flame

is transformed into desire

for a new flame.

The heat of the fire

as it ceases to burn

becomes hunger

for a new warmth,

the heat in our bellies.

Power from fire to food,

to chew,

to stomach's acidic fiery stew.

The combustion engine

in the center of man

drives the way

to the new fire's plan.

A fire only returns to the air

what the trees took before,

with the heating sun's blaze.

The last month leads to first month,

So we call it the last,

but the form ever stays.

Omega to Alpha,

the climax of sex

is the sowing of seed.

I can rill that circle,

or delay it at will,

till the old wood is purple

from the cold on the hill.

The climax of fire

is the starting of seed,

the launch of desire,

the sparking of need.
