The Clever Idiot

I was born naked, and I didn't know

mocked and pestered, I was a show

I couldn't talk, write nor speak

nobody wanted me, for I was so weak.

in the barren lands, I walked every day

picking everything, my hands could lay

the sun and wind never stopped me,

I could have, but I had this journey.

red, it was my favorite color

I saw it first, while I did someone a favor

it was just simple and easy to do

I never knew how important it was to be true

laughter was echoing, much to my amazement

I felt catching my breath, and I stumbled on the pavement

they were looking at me, sneering at my sight

I couldn't get away from the feeling, did I do something right?

I knew nothing, I was clueless and lost

was this the price, life should cost

I asked myself, for the last time, is this the end?

how could I answer that, I can't even comprehend

it was so cold, I could taste saltiness

but out of my mouth, I can taste bitterness

tears were running down, I can't wipe away

was I clever or was I an idiot? judge me today.
