The City's Lullaby
A Poem of Urban Serenity
Steel giants pierce, the twilight's embrace,
A symphony of horns, fills the bustling space.
But wait, a hush falls, on the concrete stair,
As the city slumbers, with a weary air.
Streetlamps cast halos, on empty avenues,
Shadows stretch long, like dreams come true.
Taxi horns fade, a distant refrain,
Replaced by crickets, in a soft, gentle rain.
A lone rooftop view, with stars peeking through,
A million tiny lights, whispering anew.
The city's heartbeat, slows to a sigh,
A moment of peace, against the endless sky.
For even concrete jungles, find moments of rest,
A tranquil embrace, before the day's next test.
So listen closely, when the city sleeps tight,
And hear the lullaby, of the fading light.
