The Circle of Life

Earth, drenched with wet ash

Breaks, green shoots sprouting skywards

Blossoming like fire

.

Fire burns through old wood

Fallen branches becoming

Ashes in the wind

.

Wind, upon whose wing

seeds of life and clouds alike

cross land and water

.

Water from grey clouds

falls, that new life might rise up

from fertilized earth.
