Pain, an emotion felt since birth that never leaves no matter how fast we run. Hiding in every corner waiting for weakness to surface and then the attack begins. Effort means nothing when ears become deaf and the heart is pumped full with rage. Straining to punch a way through darkness only to find more darkness on each side of light. Existing seems useless when hurt becomes life's most common friend. Hatred is necessary to find ways to deflect the thoughts of no longer existing. This whole living thing is difficult and trying to find reasons to continue seem dem, especially when the game of life is always playing unfair. The idea that happiness is a deserved feeling is a naïve thought, when each positive comes with negatives. Love, joy, and peace have to be worked for, as the ability must be groomed by resilience learned through the fight of pain. Resist commonality, as those who claim to know happiness are only lost souls fooled by false reality. Don’t envy, as life is specific to each person and their own image given by god.
