The Christmas Countdown: A Poem of Twinkling Lights and Reindeer Flight
a waiting of Christmas for childern
Tiny bells and jingle toes, snowflakes dance on frosty nose,
Trees with lights like fairy stars, shining bright, no room for cars!
Stockings hung with eager hope, cookies waiting by the slope,
Santa's reindeer, hooves a-tap, bringing presents in a nap.
+
Rudolph's nose, a fiery guide, through the night, with sleigh that glides,
Chimney soot and whisker twitch, gifts of wonder in each stitch.
Dolls and trains and teddy bears, candy canes and magic stairs,
Drums that boom and books that sing, Christmas joy that makes hearts swing.
+
Gingerbread and frosted dreams, carols whispered, warm milk streams,
Family faces, laughter clear, stories whispered, love held dear.
Candles glow, a golden spark, wishes whispered in the dark,
Sleepy eyes with dreams of toys, Christmas magic, girls and boys.
+
So cuddle close, beneath the bough, let Christmas spirit fill you now,
Open hearts and hands that hold, stories told as snowflakes fold.
Tiny whispers, "Merry cheer!", Christmas magic year to year,
For children's smiles and laughter bright, make Christmas a wondrous light!
