“I think I get it. Maybe.” Velvet shook her head, but there was a hint of a smile on her face. “You’re impossible.” As winter settled in, their unlikely partnership deepened.

They began to move through the house as a unit, Velvet’s sharp eyes guiding Moose’s eager strength. They explored corners of the house they’d never bothered with before, uncovering forgotten treasures like a dusty tennis ball and a stray feather.

~today is the day~

June watched their growing camaraderie with amusement. She painted them one day, capturing Velvet’s sleek form and Moose’s exuberant grin on the same canvas.
