Moose rolled onto his side, his paws stretching out in front of him. “You know, Velvet, I think we’d make a good team.” Velvet’s eyes narrowed. “A team? You and me?” “Yeah!” Moose’s tail wagged enthusiastically.

“You’re smart, and I’m strong. We could do all sorts of things together. Like… like catching the red dot! I’ve seen you chase it.” Velvet’s whiskers twitched with amusement. “The red dot is not something you can catch. It’s a trick.”

“But we could try,” Moose insisted. “You’d be the brains, and I’d be the muscle.” “That assumes I need muscle,” Velvet said, her tone dry.
